This painting is a self portrait, I spend a lot of time at the American Museum of Natural History and its meant to represent how I view the dinosaur bones on display. I posed at the museum where I usually stand when I go to sketch. Then I made a quick 3D model of the tyrannosaurus and created color thumbnails digitally.
